Lost Canyon Winery is thrilled to offer the following in its monthly series on wine and food appreciation: May 17 (3-5pm) Wine Tasting/Food Pairing Come learn how with Jessica Yadegaran, Wine Features writer for Contra Costa Times. Jessica will share her expertise and palate in a presentation on the "rules" of wine tasting and food pairing. She will provide recipes and samples of dishes to pair with a range of Lost Canyon Pinot Noir wines. June 14 (1-5pm) Summer Open House

Come join us for our summer open house. This year we will be offering library wines at great discounts as well as our special sales on current vintages. Join us for a vertical and horizontal tastings of our very best vintages. As always, we will be providing food, raffles, great people and, above all, spectacular wine! ($30 for public, $15 for wine club members)

July 20 (5pm) Summer Grill Winemaker Dinner

Lost Canyon Winery has teamed up with a local favorite, World Ground Cafe, to host our first ever Summer Grill Winemaker Dinner here at the winery. The dinner will offer an excellent selection of our wines matched to gourmet grilled fare. Celebrate summer's bounty with savory pork, fish, and beef dishes that will inspire you. July 26 (1-5pm) Barrel Samples/Futures

Each year Lost Canyon Winery gives a sneak preview of our most recent vintage while it is still in the barrels. We are also offering wine futures at a 30% discount! Participants get a chance to taste the wines as they are beginning to show their true nature and see first hand how different barrels enhance different characteristics for each wine. If you have never experienced a barrel tasting, you are missing an important part of the wine experience. This is always a favorite event, especially this year as the 2007 wines look to be an exceptional vintage. ($20 for public, $10 for wine club members)

 

 

 

 

Lost Canyon Welcomes:

Martha Rueca Gustafsson as our Sales and Events Manager as of Dec 15, 2007! Previously, she was our 2007 Harvest Intern. Martha owns 2 cafes in Oakland with her husband, called World Ground Cafe. One day she will have and run her own winery.

Carla Henson-Perez has joined the team in June 2007 working in the Tasting Room on weekends. Carla has a day job at BART where she uses her MBA financial skills. One day she wishes to open a wine bar.

 

Lost Canyon Welcomes Kristie Tacey!

Lost Canyon Winery is pleased to announce the hire of Kristie Tacey as Operations Manager. Kristie is to start work just in time to help with the 2006 crush. She is a graduate of University of Michigan with a degree in Biology.  She has been employed as a Scientist with Celera Diagnostics and previously worked as a researcher on the human genome project. Kristie’s other passion is wine. She has been working on her Certificate of Winemaking from the University of California, Davis.
